More About Bill
Bill Dawes is an American actor and stand-up comic. He graduated cum laude with an aerospace engineering degree from Princeton University and holds an MFA In acting from NYU. While living in New York, Bill starred in 3 Broadway plays and over a dozen Off-Broadway plays as well as appearing in over 50 films and television shows.
As a comic, he has appeared on AXSTV twice with “Live at Gotham” and was tapped to be on Kevin Hart’s show “Next Level” on Comedy Central. He also has done extensive tours of military bases, including a USO tour of Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Comedy fans might know him best for his viral sketch “How a White Man says the N-word to a Black Man,” which has aggregated over 800 million views across several platforms.
Bill is a multiple-award-winning actor and is best known for shows like “NCIS: Hawaii,” “Bass Reeves,” “NCIS,” “The Other Two,” "Mo," "Alaska Daily," "City on a Hill," "Damages," "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit," “Sex and the City,” as well as films like "Encounter,” “Before the Sun Explodes,” and “I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell.”
Bill tours nationally and internationally as a headlining comic and considers the Hollywood Laugh Factory his home club. He is excited to be in Fort Worth, his 4th favorite city in Texas.
