10 Fort Worth comics compete on stage at the Funky Room. Three judges score each performance on a published rubric, audience cast ranked ballots for their favorites, and the top 2 comics from this round advance to the semifinals.

This is round-one stakes. Comics bringing their A-game material, raw energy in the room, and a real chance to climb the bracket toward $10,000+ in prizes and a career-launching package.

60 comics will compete across six preliminary rounds. 12 will advance. 6 will make finals. 1 will win it all.

About the Competition

The Fort Worth Comedy Competition is the first-ever city-wide stand-up competition for Fort Worth comics. Hosted by Big Laugh Comedy Club, September 3 through November 7, 2026. The winner receives $2,500 cash, a multi-city headlining tour with Mason from The Looney Bin on the booking side, a headlining weekend at Big Laugh filmed as a 30-minute special, and an industry agent meeting.

- This event is 18 and up, valid ID required

- If you don't show up 20 MINUTES after the scheduled show time, you will forfeit your tickets

- No heckling or videos during the show, if you can't play nicely you will be asked to leave 

- There is absolutely NO VIDEO RECORDING whatsoever 

- No backpacks or other large bags allowed in venue

- No animals allowed in venue
